Welcome to Biology 102

It will be similiar in content and structure to the the 2009 course posted here.

General Biology, BI 102, covers the topics of genetics, evolution, and animal behavior. The format is a mixture of lecture, laboratories & recitations, on-line readings, portfolio projects. The two weekly lectures are 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday in 26 Milam Hall (Milam Auditorium, West entrance). Laboratory meets each week for one hour and 50 minutes in 129 WNGR (Weniger Hall) and recitation meets each week for 50 minutes in 127 WNGR (Weniger Hall).

The Biology 102-09 Laboratory Activity Manual is required for all Laboratory and Recitation activities beginning the second week of classes, the week of January 12. The first week's activities are handed out in the activities.

All lectures, labs, and recitations meet the first week of the term (week of January 5, 2009).

Biology 102-09 does not have a textbook, assigned readings are online.

Biology 102 does not have class on Monday at 6pm. This time slot is for the two scheduled evening exams.

Much of the information about this course is also supplied as part of the activity manual purchased at the OSU Bookstore.
