Biology 102 2009 COURSE SYLLABUS
INTRODUCTION
BI 101, 102, 103, also called General Biology or BI 10X, are introductory biology courses intended for anyone interested in biology.
BI 101 emphasizes diversity, ecology, and environmental science.
BI 102 introduces genetics, evolution, and behavior.
BI 103 covers human anatomy, physiology, and disease. Each course is worth four credits and can fulfill the baccalaureate core requirement for a life science course with a laboratory component. As 100-level university courses, BI 101, 102, and 103 introduce the discipline of biology through developing conceptual understandings and skills that can support life-time learning of biology.
