Research Interests:

My primary research focus is fish histopathology, especially as it relates to carcinogenesis. I continue to work in developing and using fish models for research that has potential application to human health. This involves using rainbow trout to test the effectiveness or potential hazards of constituents of the human diet to either prevent or exacerbate carcinogenesis, respectively, as well as defining the responses of this vertebrate animal to environmental chemicals, in order to predict their potential effect on humans.
