Research Interests

David E. Williams is currently Professor of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology at OSU with a partial appointment in the Linus Pauling Institute. In addition to serving as Director of the MFBSC, Dr. Williams is also the PI on the OSU NIEHS T32 Toxicology Training Grant. His research is focused on cancer chemoprevention by dietary phytochemicals and in the study of enzymes involved in metabolism of xenobiotics. This research has been funded by grants from NIEHS and NHLBI continuously since Dr. Williams came to OSU in 1987. Dr. Williams has published 125 research articles and has trained 12 Ph.D. candidates, 1 M.S. candidate and two postdoctoral researchers.
