Current Observations
- The radio telescope is currently undergoing an equipment and software upgrade. It will be operational again in
March 2012.
Current Objectives
- Atomic hydrogen cloud emission at 1.4 GHz within the Milky Way will be mapped spatially with an angular resolution of 0.05°,
and the doppler-broadened spectra will be obtained with a spectral resolution of 10 Hz at 1.4 GHz.
- Emissions from the coronasphere of the sun will be mapped and compared to many sources of information about
the dynamic processes on the surface. Signals at 150 and 440 MHz will also be obtained using the Yagi-Uda antennas
of the satellite communication ground station, a facility of the OSU PicoSatellite Program.
