1. Geochemical studies of the Earth's mantle and mantle-derived rocks

2. Volcanism, geochemical processing and elemental cycling at subduction zones

3. Study of silicate melt inclusions in igneous rocks

4. Development and application of in-situ micro-analysis techniques
