SUGGESTED AND ASSIGNED HOMEWORK

You should start working the problems as soon as the corresponding lesson is started in class.

You must turn for grading solutions to problems followed by an asterisk. Asterisks are normally added about two days before an assignment is due.
For due dates see the course calendar. Homework is due at the start of your recitation class meeting on the due date.
Important: Do NOT TURN IN ANY NON-ASTERISK PROBLEMS when you submit homework that will be graded.

Homework will be graded as follows: No credit for a paper that is visually hard for the grader to read. Up to half of the credit for a particular homework assignment will be awarded for turning in a homework paper that indicates a conscientious effort to solve all the assigned problems. The other half of the credit will be awarded based on the grading of one or two problems in that assignment.

How much homework is enough? -- Free advice

Late Homework: Homework loses 20% credit per day it is late. (An assignment due Thursday is worth at most 80% of full credit if turned in on Friday, 60% of full credit if turned in the following Monday, etc. Late homework must be turned into the GTA leading your recitation section.)
