||Deadline officially “open” your Premed File. Meet with your own Premedical Adivsor first to check in about your application readiness. Then meet with a coordinating premed committee advisor (Maureen Leong-Kee or Cody Duncan) for further discussion. Complete the Student Profile for Letters of Evaluation, the Pre-Medical File Intake web form, create a tentative list of schools, make a list of activities and have a draft of your personal statement to bring to the meeting. Once you have the signatures on your required signature page (which you will get from your meeting with Maureen or Cody), then your premedical file is officially open. Due date for all letters of recommendation. It is your responsibility to monitor the status of your letters via your web link.
Your file must be complete at this time (see checklist).
|July-Sept||Students receive secondary applications. Committee Letters uploaded for those students with complete files and MCAT scores. Students need to keep in contact with advisor regarding letters.|

|Sep 2018 - Apr 2019||Students interview and receive offers of admission or rejection notices or, quite commonly, are put on hold for months.|
|Apr 30, 2019||Students will know if they have been accepted, rejected, or wait-listed, and after this date applicants may not hold more than one seat at a med school.|
Note: It is in the applicant’s best interest to complete everything as early as possible.
It really does make a difference to be early, especially this year when it is so competitive!
Reapplicants must meet the same deadlines and complete the reapplicant information sheet.
Remember, LATE = REJECT OR ALTERNATE!
