When assessing NSF proposals, reviewers evaluate all proposals against two criteria:
The Broader Impacts section of your proposal should discuss the broader impacts of the proposed activities. Broader impacts may be accomplished through the research itself, through activities directly related to specific research projects, or through activities supported by and that are complementary to the project.
