Each exercise set contains one graded problem for students enrolled in CH435, and a different problem for those enrolled in CH535. These should be worked and turned in.  The due dates are marked below; any set may be submitted for grade either electronically by email or in my mailbox in hard copy at any time prior to the due date.

Each graded problem is worth 10 points; five points will be given for the correct structure, and five points to the correct assignment of as many peaks in the spectrum (or spectra) as possible. All graded work must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. Your letter grade will be determined by your total score out of 100 points possible.

Each weekly problem set contains a series of ungraded problems as well.. You should work as many of these as possible before attempting the graded problem. These will be discussed at the weekly exercise session or in class. Keys will be posted and linked by late Friday each week.
